Although I took 2D images i felt I would like to show Auschwitz in 3D. My intention is to use stereoscope images to give the viewer more of a feeling of actually being there.
Using fujifilm W3 I took a series of images based on lines from the poem "Spare a Thought"
I have chosen to display these images in a stereo view because of the contrast between using a stereoscope (which was once used as a form of entertainment like a child's toy) and the horrors of Auschwitz
By comparing the contrast between the two, my intention was to make the viewer think about what it is they are viewing.
